A Concert for Diana was a concert held at the new Wembley Stadium in London, England, United Kingdom in honour of the late Diana, Princess of Wales on 1 July 2007, which would have been her 46th birthday. The event was organized by her sons Prince William and Prince Harry to celebrate her life.
The concert was broadcast in 140 different countries across the world with an estimated potential audience of 500 million homes. In December 2006, 22,500 tickets were made available for purchase for the concert, selling out in just 17 minutes. 63,000 people turned out to the Wembley Stadium to watch the performances to commemorate Diana.
Performers at the event included and songs they sang in a heartwarming tribute to Diana. Sir Elton John began the performance with "Your Song". Duran Duran followed with "Reach Up for the Sunrise", "Wild Boys" and then "Rio". James Morrison then performed "You Give Me Something" and "Wonderful World". Lily Allen followed with "LDN" and "Smile". Fergie perfomed "Glamorous" and "Big Girls Don't Cry". Then The Feeling sang "Fill My Little World" and "Love It When You Call". Pharrell Williams came on with "Drop It Like It's Hot" and "She Wants To Move (Remix)". Nelly Furtado sang "Say It Right", "I'm Like a Bird" and "Maneater". The English National Ballet performed "Swan Lake". Status Quo followed with "Rockin' All Over the World". Joss Stone sang "You Had Me" and "Under Pressure". Roger Hodgson of Supertramp Medley sang "Dreamer", "The Logical Song" and "Breakfast in America". He went on to sing. "Give a Little Bit". Orson followed with "Happiness" and "No Tomorrow". Sir Tom Jones and Joe Perry performed "Kiss", "I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor" and "Ain't That A Lot of Love?" with Joss Stone. Will Young followed with "Switch It On". Natasha Bedingfield sang "Unwritten". Bryan Ferry then performed "Slave to Love", "Make You Feel My Love" and "Let's Stick Together?. Anastacia sang "Superstar" from Jesus Christ Superstar. Connie Fisher and Andrea Ross performed "Memory" from Cats. Andrea Bocelli performed "The Music of the Night" from The Phantom of the Opera. Josh Groban and Sarah Brightman sang the duet: "All I Ask of You" from The Phantom of the Opera. Donny Osmond, Jason Donovan and Lee Mead featuring the Chicken Shed Theatre Company sang together "Any Dream Will Do" from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Rod Stewart followed with "Maggie May", "Baby Jane" and "Sailing". Kanye West performed "Gold Digger", " Touch the Sky", "Stronger", "Diamonds from Sierra Leone" and "Jesus Walks". P. Diddy sang "I'll Be Missing You" and was followed by Take That who sang "Shine", "Patience" and "Back for Good". Ricky Gervais performed "Freelove Freeway" featuring Mackenzie Crook,and then sang "Chubby Little Loser". Sir Elton John closed the concert with "Saturday Nights Alright(For Fighting)", "Tiny Dancer", and "Are You Ready For Love".
