About Coldplay
Chris Martin and Will Champion began busking in 1997 in Covent Garden in London and were asked to move on by the police. They had 20p in their guitar case which they put there themselves. Since then Coldplay has come a long way with over 33 millions albums sold to date.
Coldplay is known the world over for their hits Yellow, The Scientist, Speed of Sound, Fix You, Viva la Vida and Clocks which won a Grammy Award. Coldplays album Parachutes in 2000 was nominated for the Mercury Prize.

Early on the band decided to take a all for one approach and decided to split all profits equally, and agreed that anyone using hard drugs would be fired.
Once Coldplay got off of the ground, they have not come down, attaining higher and high stratospheres. A rush of Blood to the Head was released in 2002 and the track Clocks won a Grammy Award. Coldplay went on tour with the album and in December of 2003 readers of Rolling Stone magazine nominated Coldplay as the best artist and best band of the year.
The Coldplay album X and Y was released in 2005 and the band went on tour.
Coldplay began to work on their fourth studio album, Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends in December 2006. Brian Eno and Markus Dravs produced the album. On the 16th of June Coldplay began their Viva la Vida Tour with a free concert at Brixton Academy.
