23 June will see the opening of the world famous tennis tournament The Championships at Wimbledon this year. What with the increased cash prize for Men's and Ladies' Singles Champions up to 750,000 from 700,000 Pounds and new developments in place for the grounds, this year is sure to be the best year in a long time for experiencing some exciting tennis.
We won't know who's playing until the seedings are announced on 18 June and then the final draw is made on 20 June. But it's safe to assume that all the usual stars like Roger Federer, Andy Roddick, the Williams sisters, Ana Ivanovic or Anna Kournikova will be playing.
